![]() It is a self-contained, compact 12 volt motor, pump and cylinder supplied by Parker Hannifin. The beauty of these grapples is they don't need a third function hydraulic outlet, but use an Electro Hydraulic Actuator. I said to myself "not a problem" and built my own. When I bought my first compact tractor, I wanted the dealer to supply a grapple with it. I'm a retired farmer, but dabble in fabricating. Other than being a little loud and loosing a little horsepower, the hydrostatic transmission allows you to quickly switch from forward to reverse and makes front end loader work a breeze. I had no idea I would like the hydrostatic so much. I opted for the agricultural tires for improved traction and paid the extra $1000 for the hydrostatic option. My biggest decisions were tire style and whether or not to get hydrostatic transmission. I Love It! Kubota L4400 Tractor Review - Available Optionsīefore I bought the tractor I knew it needed to have a few things like four wheel drive and a front end loader. ![]() So what's my opinion for this Kubota L4400 tractor review? We decided to purchase a new Kubota L4400 and I've had the tractor for 1 year now. We started off by shopping for a used tractor but quickly realized used Kubota tractors really hold their value.Īfter a lot of research and shopping we found Kubota was offering some great deals on new tractors. I'm a Kubota fan and the tractors are well built and affordable compared to other similar brands. I can think of a few occasions where I had to dump the load in the bucket to keep the tractor from rolling over.Īs long as you were on level ground it was fine.Īs the family grew we decided it was time for a bigger, newer, more stable tractor. The narrow wheel base made the tractor feel very tippy. It has worked for me and others that are satisfied, hope that this has helped answer your problem. The one thing I didn't like about the L275 was its stability. Check your psi on the guage, hopefully it will be close enough to the max setting. Just have your washer ready and remove the two and put the one you bought in. I didn't use the shop vac and had little Hydr. ![]() ![]() On that web site they had picture and detail instructions on how to increase the psi. I have been operating my orange BeBe for some time now with this setting and feel very please with the way it operates now, alot more lifting capacity. The relief valve is design to relieve at the factory setting, but it's best not to pop off at high psi. operating psi was set by the manufacter and do not exceed that setting. Remember that I set my psi to whatever the max. There is a plug in the bottom that will have to be removed, it has a spring and maybe a ball bearing, along with the washers. relief system, went to the the local hardware store and bought a 5 cent flat washer about the size of a dime, alittle smaller and about a 16th in thickness. The shime washer that are in the pressure relief block are 2 stainless thin washers. The psi block is located below the floor panel next to the hydro. I bought a quick coupler fitting at the dealer and asked what the max setting was for my Hyd. Make sure you find out what the psi setting is for the L-3400. This setting was base on the manufactor's max. It was simple and I increased the psi from 2495 psi to 2630 psi. hose going to the FEL, crank the tractor and simulate the bucket roll to view the operating psi 2495. So, I did a little research and found on, a forum on how to increase the Hydraulic pressure setting by replacing the manufacture washers with a larger one and checking your pressure increase by placing a psi guage on your FEL quick coupler located above the control handle. A quick coupler and reducer to screw the gauge cost about $ 40-50, I already had the guage, so it was worth every penny for the results. I'm sure that your L-3400 is setup the same way. I have a L-4400 and the FEL lifting capacity seem low when I purchase my tractor used.
